As Fate Would Have It

Some people spend their whole lives
Looking for happiness
Hoping that their soul mate is right around the corner.
Often we look down the wrong street
Spending time with the wrong people
But eventually we turn
And find them there.
For me, I turned to you
And found never-ending happiness.
I didn¹t believe in love at first sight
Until I saw you.
You make promises to be here for me.
I know you could never hurt me;
I could never hurt you.
We¹ve made wrong choices in the past
But we¹ve put them behind us.
Now you are by my side
With our whole lives ahead to be
Together
Eternally happy
To be in love.
I¹m glad I decided to turn the corner
On the road to never-ending happiness.
